For several years already the state-owned Boyana
Film Company is providing a full package of
services for foreign filmmakers. "Whenever
a foreign team comes to Bulgaria we witness one
and the same evolution. At the very beginning they
are very cautious - they don't know the food, the
people. After a couple of weeks they wish to come
back to Bulgaria, again and again.", Boyana

The company is now in the process of privatization. "We would like to attract the interest of many big international film making companies. Boyana Film has already attracted Kodak's interest. Maybe, it is not a mere coincidence that the hall in Los Angeles where the Oscars are awarded is called Kodak Theatre…" Mihailov mused.
