Creation

In the eyes of many in Kinshasa, RENKA is a true success story. Ali Sereshgi and his wife started the company in 1999 with one very old van, purchased on credit. They rented that van to an American NGO on long-term basis and their monthly revenue had to go straight to the lender till the debt was finished. By the time, they had no office and they worked in their small apartment.

They made a good job offering a very good service to the client and repaying the debt, so they got new contracts with Halliburton and they kept on growing.

RENKA takes its name after their first-born daughter KAREN (REN + KA), who was born around the same period.

Renka, became well know afternumerous TV and billboard advertising, and it is easy to realise they really are proactif concerning marketing tools.

RENKA offers its services in two very well located places in Kinshasa:

The Hotel Memling, and the Concierge counter of the Grand Hotel de Kinshasa (former Intercontinental). The counter is open 7:30 AM to 21:30 PM every day.

Customers

Most of our clients are foreign visitors including: investors, World Bank, Embassies, NGOs, visitors from other provinces to get their documents signed by different governmental authorities.

In 2002, they started to introduce the concept of car rental to middle class Congolese.

Projects

RENKA has been growing since its creation and Mr. Sereshgi has many projets for his company: he is planning to open offices in other locations of the country. He has the expertise and the structure which will enable RENKA to grow. Political stability attracts investors and demand will be bigger and bigger.

Access to the capital, with reasonable interest rate, is essential to RENKA’s growth. Vehicles are expensive in DRC and keeping RENKA as market leader is a big challenge that requires big money. That’s why Mr. Sereshgi looks for suitable investors willing to take calculated risk for high returns.
