History

TRAC - ASTRA RENT A CAR is owned by PT Serasi Autoraya which was incorporated in Jakarta on March 22, 1990. The company has been wholly owned by PT Astra International Holding Tbk. TRAC - ASTRA RENT A CAR is the new identity of Toyota Rent a Car, with over 20 years of experience in the car rental business in Indonesia.

The company started with five cars in 1986. Today, it operates almost 18.000 cars. The company employs over 1.300 and almost 7.000 professional drivers and has an extensive fleet of sedans, minibuses, pickups and trucks.

To meet customer needs, TRAC has 23 branches, 33 Outlets and more than 600 workshops and maintenance service centers spread throughout Indonesia. These include TRAC - ASTRA RENT a CAR Service Points, and other trusted service and maintenance workshops provided by associate partners.

Leasing (Operating Lease)

Short –Term Rental

TREMO—TRAC Motorental

Your needs for transportation to areas, which are difficult to reach by car gave birth to TREMO. This motorcycle lease service is supported by synergies between infrastructure, human resources and information technology system with TRAC. Each motor vehicle can be specifically designed to meet the customer’s needs. TREMO also provides trained rider service who is well familiar with the area.

Driver Services

The professional driver service with a selection of driver who went through strict selection. The drivers are provided with Defensive Driving, area mastery, service ethics as well as positive attitude trainings. At present we have almost 7,000 experienced professional drivers serving various types of customers.

Trucking Services

Offering the services focused on operating lease for trucks, both of medium and large size. This latest service solution ensures the needs for business transportation with trucks running smoothly by minimizing the damage to cargo and time accuracy.

Billing System

The billing system is conducted online through SAP system. Payment transaction that can be made in all branches of TRAC is convenient to the customers. The transaction information is periodically disseminated every month through Account Statement.

All of TRAC - ASTRA RENT A CAR’s rental packages come with the inconvenience of a replacement service in case of breakdowns or accidents. Full maintenance services are also available. These include scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs at designated maintenance service workshops, towing services and all-risk insurance including third party liability.

In 2007, TRAC – Astra Rent a Car designed a new service called TMS – Transportation Management System. TMS is a structured transportation solution system which consists of Car Rental, Chauffeured Service, Unit Management thru daily rental and spot charter, Operational Management thru system and manpower, Cost Management on each operational expense unit, HES (Health, Environment, and Safety) Control, as far as Disposal Unit Management. Management Review cycle and Balanced Score Card applied in the management system assist us to make continuous efforts to improve the service solution for you.
