The quality

With the aim of always offering the best service, quality is today our prime commitment.

Our ambition is to build a relation of collaborator at all levels. Whether with our costumers and supplier or with the whole staff, we are seeking first and foremost to conduct, by abiding by the rules and regulation, the favorable development of each and everyone of these actors.

The HSSE (Health, Security, Safety, Environment)

Whether it comes to health, Safety or protection of the environment, our commitment is to provide the best working conditions to our employees. We are sure that the development of UMS will only be favored by the individual development of each of them.

At present, we have a whole team mainly devoted to HSSE. It is contributing to the improvement of the knowledge of our employees in this area through training and sensitization.

A whole set of rules and procedures of UMS aims at protecting the employees and ensuring a qualify staff to respond the requirements of each costumer and preventing all environment risks.

Community development

We are “an actor of development”. Our ambition is to assist the local communities in their social, economic development projects. We assist their various initiatives and encourage their effort linked to the protection of their environment.
Our commitment is to be an actor of socio-economic-development of Guinea.

4. Our strategy of long lasting development

Whit the aim of conducting long lasting actions, UMS spares no effort to promote the priority aspect of development.
Our mission is first and foremost to be an actor of development in Guinea, and our development policy is mainly geared towards three (3) fundamental aspects: social, economic and environmental.

The social scope of our commitment
Within UMS and for the businesses that we are backing, individuals are at the heart of development.
The policy of human resources set in place takes first and foremost into account, the individual development of each employee. Our social commitment is identifiable today at various levels:

  • the internal promotion and the access to training in view of backing career development
  • Social benefits in view of ensuring the best living conditions of the employees
  • A whole service dedicated to HSSE normalization in view of ensuring the best working conditions of all the employees
  • The community development through backing the school “changer le monde” and the basket ball team “Jeanne d’Arc”.

UMS is an economic actor

It’s because we have succeeded to establish a relation of confidence with our costumers that today they are entrusting us with their logistic materials. With this volume of purchase, we are today among the economic actors in the Guinean market.
From 2002 to 2008, the number of employees rose from 49 to 460, i.e. an increase of 225%.

Our strategy is to create employment by taking into account the economic context of the country. And, this is how we set in place a policy enabling our employees to have access to the ownership of the transportation equipment. In this way, they are ensured supplementary income for their individual development.

Respecting the environment

With the care to preserve nature for future generations, we always take the best steps when it comes to environment.

The staff we are employing is qualify and trained for the transportation of any kind of products, namely the product called “hazardous”. As a matter of fact, UMS is holder of all approvals in this area and puts at the disposal of the staff the appropriate training and sensitization for all the standards of security. UMS is actively taking part in the building and maintenance of road infrastructures.
