1.3 About Halogen Security
Halogen Security Company Limited was incorporated in July 1992 as a Private Limited Liability Company and granted licence to operate in November of the same year as a reaction to a yawning gap in quality guard service delivery in Nigeria. The company started business immediately and showed from inception that it was poised to revolutionize security services in the country which has resulted in making us the leading security services provider in the nation.
Having been in operation for over 12 (Twelve) years, we have been able to attract and retain a select group of clients some from inception till date. We have acquired vast experience in virtually all facets of security and protection of lives and property. Halogen Security possesses the managerial, financial and administrative infrastructure enabling operations to be totally performance related, customer needs driven with a high degree of customer communications.
We are committed to working in partnership with customers to provide an excellent and cost effective security service that complements their own standards of customer service. We honour and support this commitment by selective recruitment, thorough training, competent supervision, constant management input and accurate billing. Halogen Security is affiliated with COIN SECURITY GROUP, South Africa with a view to upgrading our operational efficiency and improving the quality of service we deliver to our esteemed clients. Increasing challenges in the industry especially the renewed tactics of criminals has necessitated the need to consolidate our expertise in dealing with the threats. Besides, the relationship has enhanced our human and technological resources in the application of Electronic Security and Monitoring systems unsurpassed in the industry in Nigeria.
COIN SECURITY has been providing management and technical expertise to Halogen Security since 1997 and we have strengthened the relationship further lately by partnering into Assets-in-Transit business in Nigeria.

In all our dealings, we maintain transparency and absolute honesty even where it may count against us. Halogen also enjoys strong endorsements by the Nigeria Police Force who have consistently granted us authorization to use armed mobile Policemen in support of our operations even when such privileges are denied to other security service providers. 1.7 Human Resources
Halogen Security has three categories of staff numbering over 7,000. These include the Management, the administrative staff and the security operatives.
Administrative Staff
The pre-requisite for employment of this category of staff depends on the office they occupy. They are mainly professionals in their chosen field. These include employees in the Technical, Accounts, Operations and Admin Departments as well as staff of our Branch Offices.
Roles: These are employees that take charge of administrative matters involving all our operations and personnel.
Responsibilities: Installation/After sales service, Secretarial duties, Training, Billings/Financial details, maintenance, kitting, vetting, etc.
Management Staff

Roles & Responsibilities: They are involved with the day-to-day running of the company by making relevant executive decisions as and when necessary.

Our operational spread cut across the geographical zones of the country. We have Branch offices in Abuja, Ibadan and Port Harcourt with competent Managers, operational staff and administrative staff to effectively run the offices. We benefit from the ISO 9002 Quality Certification by virtue of our affiliation to COIN Security Group, South Africa. We have applied to the Standards Organisation of Nigeria to process our certification locally. Our Quality Assurance Director is on secondment from COIN Security. The system is developed to ensure that:

Standing Operational Procedures (SOP)
Comprehensive SOP for each department dictates procedures, routines and standards. A policy of zero tolerance is a key factor within operational branches.
Operations audits
Operational branches are subject to continual, systematic operational audits by a team of senior experienced operational staff.
Standardization of training
All security operatives are trained at one single training academy, HALOGEN ACADEMY, irrespective of grade or employment but we hold a flexible approach to clients’ preferences.
Retraining
Halogen Security systematically embarks on retraining programme to re-orientate and refresh our operatives. Though costly, it is vital to maintaining our skills level.
