Madrid City Council International Cooperation Office

President of theSocialist Mayors from Ivory Coast paid a visit to Spain.

H.E M. Jean-Baptiste Gaumont, President of the Socialist Mayors of Ivory Coast came to Madrid in company of the General Secretary of Commune de Cocody, he came with Mr. Isaac Dereye Gbegnon and the city manager Stephane Koudougnon to experience the Spanish City Management, and to this end, he visited the town hall of Madrid as well as the International Co-operation.

Cocody is the major residential aerea of Abidjan, The capital of Ivory Coast.

He was received by its counterpart the mayor of Valdepeñas H.E Jesús Martín Rodríguez Caro and made a twinning between the communes of Abidjan and Valdepeñas.

He also visited the slaughter-house and the treatment plant of refuse and the water recycling.

The Major hopes that foreign investors will choose its Commune, the reichest of Abidjan and Ivory Coast, to finance the treatment of the refuse, water, pollution, but also the development of transport.

WINNE was glad to bring a logistical support as an intermediary between these two communities.
