Welcome
to The African Regent, the latest luxury addition to Accra’s
selection of first class hotels.
THE
HOTEL |
The African Regent
has set out to create an atmosphere that is responsive to the
culture and heritage of Ghana. A hotel that has a Ghanaian identity.
It is a unique combination
of African design with an ethnic touch, delightfully exuding
Ghana’s rich cultural heritage in a fascinating collection
of artifacts, paintings and designs that uniquely depicts the
Kente and Adinkra symbols.
Our guests will experience
The African Regent’s unique character in a kaleidoscope
of strong vibrant colour embracing the African concept and giving
guests the warmth of a true Ghanaian experience.
Our approach in design
and décor has been carefully created to reflect the colour
of Africa and to embrace a Ghanaian look in style and design
of our fixtures, fittings, furniture and staff uniforms.
Whilst we shall be
very much aware of the needs of all our guests, regardless of
their origins, we will strive to make them feel comfortable
and well looked after.
Guests will
feel very much at home in our hotel, with every comfort and
first class service provided by highly trained staff who know
the essence of making every guest feel special. Our guests are
the most important people in the hotel and we will never forget
that they have a choice they in hospitality. Our goal will be
to justify the choice they have made by entrusting their hospitality
needs to The African Regent.
THE
RESTAURANT |
We have appointed
as Executive Chef a very experienced international chef who,
earlier in his career, spent several years in one of Accra’s
leading hotels and who brings his expertise to The African Regent.
He will not just
pay lip-service to local and regional cuisine, our Executive
chef is committed to them and has the capability to tempt the
dinner in a very authentic manner with much more than the salutary
choice of two or three African dishes, normally found on the
menus of international hotels in the region. He is also believer
in the art of African-fusion cuisine, in which the best of African
cuisine is fused with other notable international styles, such
as Indian, Thai, Japanese, French and Italian.
He believes in the
concept of a Living Kitchen, or in other words, an environment
in which the skills of the kitchen do not lay hidden to the
diner, as in the norm. He wants the skill and confidence of
his chefs to be exposed to the guests in a very inviting manner
whilst they are creating their fine selection of dishes.
The living kitchen,
then, embraces active cuisine whereby a section of the kitchen
is openly exposed to the restaurant and its costumers. It will
feature a Tandoori oven for Asian specialities, a rotisserie,
the traditional Shwarma, so much enjoyed in Arabian countries.
It will also offer fine specialty pizzas.
Our living
kitchen approach, which will be unique in Ghana, will turn the
normal buffet selection that one finds everywhere, from an everyday
affair into an event which brings variety and imagination into
a constantly changing dining experience.
