History |
K-Net Limited,
a Telecommunications Company, is a Private Limited Liability
Company registered under the Companies Code 1963, Act 179 of
Ghana. The Company originally evolved out of KCS Limited which
has been in operation since 1996 specializing in the supply,
installation and maintenance of computer hardware systems and
accessories.
K-Net, which was incorporated in 1999, has been duly licensed
by the National Communications Authority for the provision of
data communications and Internet services nationwide.
Since 1999,
K-Net has provided Managed Networking and Communications services
(Data, Voice and Video) to large, medium and small businesses
throughout Ghana with an average annual growth rate since 1999
of nearly 200% year on year. No other primarily Data Communications
services provider in Ghana has rivalled this achievement. K-Net
key clients are in Banking, Mining, Manufacturing, Governance,
Merchandising etc.

are utilities which integrate various telecommunication platforms
and solutions using its expertise to create unique product and
service offerings in managed networks. Solutions that are affordable
and readily available.
K-Net creates
industry-standard as well as unique end-to-end solutions a key
element of which is the 24x7 monitoring and support of customer
network infrastructure through our Network Operations Centre.
With over
10 years experience, K-Net addresses the entire network life
cycle including network design, implementation, monitoring and
support - providing clients with a single, no excuse point of
responsibility.
K-net is
a one stop shop for all managed network and internet solutions
for clients within the West African sub-region, using different
products according to the needs, peculiarities, preference and
location of clients. Different clients on the network could
therefore have different solutions for their managed network
and internet needs albeit from the same integrated solutions
platform managed by a single service provider.
Managed
networks have become the smart strategy for many companies as
ever-changing, sophisticated technologies require increasing
time and capital investment. Managed networks offer the assurance
and simplicity of having one provider, one network, one point
of contact and one expectation of quality.
Strategic
Direction |
The strategic
direction is what our vision defines which we seek to achieve
through our mission while being guided by our values. To be
the leading Customer-Driven “triple-play” (Data,
Voice and Video) Service Provider with a great use of Internet
Protocol (IP) for all classes of services including television,
national telephony network, transaction processing including
point of sale (POS) and a complete national network hook-up
under a concept called E-LIFE. To assure this vision we have
implemented the first fully functioning MPLS (multi protocol
label switched) Network in Ghana.

a total staff capacity of ninety (90), about seventy (70) of
which are technical based, including 2 working in advisory capacity.
