Fabi
Timbers Ltd. is located just outside of Kumasi in the Abuakwa-Maakro
area. The company currently has approximately 500 employees, and
it focuses on the manufacture of further-processed wood products.
Although the majority of our production is for the export market,
we sell some of our lower quality products locally.

Mission
Our mission is to emerge and maintain a position of dominance
and leadership in Ghana’s Timber Sector through an emphasis
on quality products; the implementation of the best planned, rationalised
and most efficient production techniques; the application of state
of the art management and information technology methods to creating
value for its shareholders; and the promotion of the welfare of
Fabi’s stakeholders, namely; its staff, its suppliers, its
buyers, its management and its shareholders.
The
Fabi Vision
The company’s vision is to create the largest and most successful
wood processing business in Ghana, applying innovative management
techniques and adjusting to the new realities of raw material
supply constraints and employing a strategy that takes advantage
of the segmentation of the market between down stream (local production)
and upstream processing (export production); in which staff can
enjoy rewarding careers and all stakeholders can feel a unique
pride in Fabi’s achievements.

company’s focus is on further processed products. As such,
we are steadily reducing the percentage of lumber production as
compared to our other products
Our
Facility
Our premises include approximately 17,000m2 of covered factory space,
including 12 kiln chambers. The factory space houses our saw mill,
saw shop, veneer mill, moulding area, flooring area, veneer-wrapping
area, kiln dry/boiler area and our transport workshop, and we have
8 forklifts that we use to move material around the factory floor.
There is an administrative building and some staff accommodation,
as well as 50 acres of land for future development.
