The AAA Companies are an integrated Angolan supplier of financial and risk management services. These five companies where created by SONANGOL EP, initially, to control the risk management activities of petroleum operations. But they also provide financial services for risk management to other non-petroleum activities.
In fact, SONANGOL EP created a new group of companies specialized in risk management activities that the Angolan economy was needing. By creating the AAA Companies SONANGOL EP also contributed to modernize the financial market in Angola with a new segment: the integrated risk management activities.

The strategy of SONANGOL EP has been implement because new legislation has been passed that open the insurance market, set the regulations of pension fund management and put in SONANGOL's hand the control of the risk management activities of petroleum operations in Angola. The new Insurance Law (Law 1/00) was passed in February, 2000.opened and liberalized the insurance market putting an end to ENSA's monopoly.
The investors in AAA companies are SONANGOL E.P, AAA (ANGOLA) INVESTORS LTD, SONANGOL P&P SARL and BAI SARL.
As the main market strategy the AAA companies will use differentiation as the driving factor to conquer the risk management and the insurance market. AAA Companies hope to accomplish that through competence , efficiency and a continuous search for the excellence.

AAA SERVIÇOS FINANCEIROS LDA Works as a holding and strategic coordinator of the AAA Companies, provides financial services and offers consulting work for the local businesses.
The main objective of AAA SERVIÇOS FINANCEIROS LDA is to establish the strategic guidelines that enable the companies in the group to rapidly gain a good chunk of the Angolan market.
Some of the strategic objective of AAA Companies are:
