Soclimédica is a private clinic that belongs to Gemini
Group. It offers a full range of services in general
medicine as well as in a number of specialities:
• orthopaedics
• minor surgery
• cardiology
• haematology
• medical check-ups
• ophthalmology
Initially, Soclimédica was only available for the
Group’s staff in order to make sure that the workforce
had regular check-ups, it was created to avoid the
expense of sub-contracting another clinic. However,
it has recently opened to external patients. Important
investments have been made to improve the facili-
ties and services offered by Soclimedica which has
led to increased number of patients and an improved
health awareness amongst the local community.
Facilities include an X-ray ward, an analysis labora-
tory, a pharmacy, ophthalmological equipment and a
number of bedrooms available for patients that need
to stay for a longer period of time
The management of Soclimédica also feel it im-
portant to prioritise various social issues. The clinic
supports campains organized by NGOs and the
Ministry of Health to provide global information and
raise awareness about a number of matters (such
as AIDS).
