The Ritek Investment Group is active in several sectors
and consists of the following companies:
Kajoca is an international trade company, one of the
first companies that was founded by Ritek Investment
Group. Initially, Kajoca was solely dedicated to the im-
port and export. Since 2003, the company has started
diversifying its activities into other areas. Currently Ka-
joca is providing important logistical and other services
to international companies with projects in Angola.
Ritek Rent a Car & Tourism is one of the leaders in the car
rental sector. RitekRent aCar has a fleet of more than 120
cars. Awide range of models are available: tourist buses,
mini buses, vans and vehicles for all types of terrain.
The cars are distributed at 3 offices; two of them are
located in Luanda (international airport 4 de Fevereiro
and at Largo do Bocage in Vila Alice). The third office is
set up in Cabinda. In the short term, new offices will be
opened in Soyo, Namibe and Lubango.
Beside the car rental activity, the company also has
trucks and construction machinery for public works.
As a response to the increasing demand in the tourist
sector, Ritek Investment Group started ‘Umosi Hotels &
Resorts’. They constructed their first three star hotel in
the province of Benguela, in the south of Angola. Umosi
Hotels & Resorts have participated in many projects but
they have emphasized on the recovery of the Caotinha
tourist complex in Benguela. Furthermore, the Umosi
Hotel Chain plans to develop other hotels, particularly in
Cabinda, Luambo and Huíla.
Eco-agro was created by the Ritek Investment Group
in order to develop its activities in the agricultural sec-
tor. The company has a partnership with an important
Spanish company that has experience in the field and
is specialized in this sector.
Ritek Oil: with the creation of this company, the Ritek
Investment group wants to mark its presence in the
petrol sector.
Ritek events and productions: this company is dedi-
cated to the organization and management of events.
After seeing the big success of the ‘Cape Town Inter-
national Jazz festival’, Ritek events and productions
started organizing a similar event in Luanda called
‘Luanda Jazz Festival’ by using the know-how they had
from the ‘Cape Town International Jazz Festival’. The
Luanda Jazz Festival takes place every year in end of
July/ beginning of August (for further information, please
refer to the Leisure chapter).
Projetécnica is active in the civil construction sector.
The company executes the projects, provides consul-
tancy and supervision of public works.
The Flamingo Bakery chain is considered as a refer-
ence in Benguela. The bakery complements the hotel
activities of Ritek Investment Group.
In addition, Ritek Investment Group also has social
housing projects. The Welwitschia project, which is in-
tegrated in the ‘my dream, my house’ program of the
Angolan government, has an innovative concept: the
construction of a city in the desert of Namibe, with the
aim to help the young Angolan families.
