Created in 1995, Clidopa is considered one of the best
clinics in Angola. Indeed, in 2005 it was awarded the
Gold certificate for Global Quality of Geneva, and the
Global Medal for Excellence in Business Practice, and
it is linked to SOS International.
It is located in Luanda and Soyo, and provides its ser-
vices to local and international companies, mainly relat-
ed to the oil industry, as well as international embassies.
Its success relies on the wide range of specialities of its
well-trained staff and its modern equipment. Opening
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, Clido-
pa is involved in all the existing medical activities, and
is well reputed for the following specialities: ophthalmol-
ogy, paediatric services, gynaecology, cardiology, sur-
gery, stomach otology, urology, neurology, psychology
and psychiatry, dermatology, physiotherapy, neurology,
esthetical surgery, orthopaedics, intensive care unit,
Xray, angiology.
During office hours the clinic’s policy is to see patients
with dental emergencies on the same day, wherever
possible. After hours, there is a mobile telephone num-
ber on the practice answer-phone to allow access to a
dentist when the clinic is closed.
Recently Clidopa has started offering pharmacology,
clinical analysis, blood transfusions, check-ups and
midwifery services. Its specialized child care services
are very well known and well considered, as are the
antenatal, postnatal care and birthing suite. Another ex-
cellent service to improve patient care is the pharmacy,
located just inside the clinic building, completing the
range of medical services. Clidopa pharmacy is operat-
ed by licensed pharmacists who offer a friendly, profes-
sional and efficient health care service. It provides com-
prehensive prescription medicines and a large range of
natural health products including vitamins, supplements
and homeopathic remedies.
