Activity: Travel Agency, Rent-a-Car
Date of Creation: 1983
Eurostral is one of the leading travel agency in Luanda.
Since its inception in 1983, Eurostral has developed
its activity along the years thanks to a very high quality
service. They provide tailor-made offers to meet any
specific demand of the clients. The activity is divided be-
tween ticketing and Rent a car. As a travel agency, 95 %
of the volume is generated by international ticketing but
Eurostral is able to offer support in the organization of
local trips depending on the demand and the specific re-
quirements of the clients. Lately, a branch has been set
up in at Paris (Suresnes) to support the Luanda office
and develop its own activity from a strategic location.
On the car rental activity, Eurostral can meet the needs
of any company operating inAngola thanks to their fleet
of 337 cars. 150 people work at the vehicle area, 80
employees work on the vehicles maintenance, most of
them being Angolan.
To provide an excellent service to the customers and
maintain the fleet in good condition, a garage has been
created recently and agreements have been signed
with insurance companies in order to provide ready-
made solutions to the clients that are mainly companies
related to the Oil & Gas sector. Indeed, Eurostral guar-
antees the substitution of the car in case of dysfunction
and all vehicles will be replaced after 24 months of use
to maintain high standards of quality.
Eurostral wants to maintain its position in Luanda and
expand to some other provinces such as Lobito. The
company sees itself as the perfect partner for medium
size companies seeking to start operations in Angola.
“Angola is a great country with many sectors to explore
and develop. The situation in 2010 has been complicat-
ed but we estimate that from the second term of 2011,
the activity should be back to normal and we do expect
to grow in 2012.”

International Travel is one of the most innovative travel
agencies inAngola. The agency belongs to the BDGroup,
which is one of the national leaders in its fieldwithinAngola.
The agency has 7 years of experience in 3 main sectors:
Car Rental: they currently have a fleet of 44 auto-
mobiles.
Flights and visas: main destinations include Brazil,
South Africa, Portugal and Cuba.
Boat transportation: journeys to domestic destina-
tions such as Mussulo and its surroundings areas.
International Travel has some key areas in their devel-
opment strategy:
A new collection of luxury car rentals for the higher
end of the market.
A focus on improving business with Angolan people.
In particular encouraging them to travel internationally
using hotels worldwide and taking part in a wide range
of activities. The main target destinations include Bra-
zil, Sao Tome and other African destinations.
A focus on attracting Internationals to Angola by cre-
ating tourist packages in places such as Luanda,
Lubango, Malanje. The company is keen to show-
case Angola’s great natural beauty.
International Travel faces a constant struggle in that
there are not a wide variety of tourist destinations or
places to visit in Angola. Furthermore, it is not always
easy to reach the ones that are in operation.
However, this is changing and will keep on improving in
the years to come with the support of the tourism min-
istry and companies as they realize the potential that
Angola has as a holiday destination.
“The tourism market is not as healthy as it could be due
to some external reasons like hotel prices and transport
packages, but the government is working to give it dy-
namism and so do we.”
