Tecpetrol is an Argentinean company whose prin-
cipal activities include oil and gas exploration and
production as well as the transport and distribution
of gas and electricity. Tecpetrol forms part of the Te-
chint Group.
In Argentina, Tecpetrol has been working in explora-
tion and production (E&P) since the 1980s in the
Northeastern, Neuquina and San Jorge basins. The
company has an annual production capacity of 31.7
million barrels and with operations in Ecuador, Ven-
ezuela, Bolivia, Peru and Mexico, the company has
been growing steadily in Latin America.
Tecpetrol also transports and distributes gas and
electricity (G&E) and has accumulated significant
experience in the development of large-scale ener-
gy integration projects in Argentina, Brazil and Peru
since it started its activities in Argentina. Currently,
its transport and distribution capacity is 12 million
cubic meters of gas per day.
