Twifo Oil Palm Plantation Ltd (TOPP) has a total of
4,234 hectares of oil palm in the Twifo-Hemang-low-
er Denkyira District. The company has a processing
capacity of 20 tonnes of fresh fruits bunches an hour.
TOPP is an Agricultural Project initiated by the Gov-
ernment of Ghana in 1977 with loan financing from
the EU, CDC, FMO and the Netherlands Govern-
ment. Work on the plantation commenced in Au-
gust 1978. The nature of business of the company
include: growers of oil palm and other agricultural
products, processors of oil palm fruits and palm ker-
nels and other agricultural products.
The major shareholders of the company are the gov-
ernment of Ghana and Unilever Ghana Ltd. The Es-
tate is situated at Twifo Ntafrewaso/Twifo Mampong
area. The company has an office in Accra that han-
dles shipping, supplies and other business issues.
