Our World is Changing!

For over 35 years the four-star-deluxe Royal Lancaster Hotel has been a feature of the London skyline. Few city-centre hotels can boast a better location with the 600 acres of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park just across the road, while Marble Arch and the West End shopping and theatre districts are only minutes away. Its 416 bedrooms - including three floors of Executive rooms specially-designed for the business traveller, and 22 Suites - have superb views over the Park and the London townscape, and feature all modern amenities including multi-voltage convertor power sockets and high-speed internet access. The two principal function suites, each accommodating over 1000 people, are well-known as venues for the most prestigious conferences, awards ceremonies, meetings and dinners.

Now the Hotel is having a facelift. The exterior is being completely transformed by a new limestone cladding from the ground floor to car park (2nd floor) level, and 12 smaller meeting rooms for 8 - 200 people are being introduced. These are collectively known as the Forest Suite, and the individual rooms have been broken down under the names Oak, Willow, Cedar, and Beech to reflect the fact that the large windows in many of them look out over leafy parkland.

Island -- a super-chic restaurant and bar - has just opened, and is fast becoming one of the capital's hottest dining venues. Head Chef Leigh Diggins creates mouth-watering starters and main courses using fresh seasonal British produce, and his delectable desserts are a marvel.

The Royal Lancaster also boasts one of Britain's top Thai restaurants. Nipa is sister to the restaurant of the same name in the The Landmark Hotel, Bangkok, and the teak panelling, furnishings and artefacts have all been shipped from Thailand. Nipa is one of only 15 UK restaurants to receive the 'Thai Select' award from the Thai Government for restaurants proven to be performing to the highest standards of quality and cuisine.

Twenty-four-hour room service is available for residents, and there is a spacious Lounge Bar serving traditional English afternoon tea, drinks, and light meals.

The Royal Lancaster is a four star deluxe Hotel with a real buzz about it, and with the nearby Heathrow Express terminus at Paddington Station making it a 20-minute journey to London's principal airport, the Royal Lancaster's location, enhanced facilities and services make it the ideal choice for travellers to the heart of London.

CONFERENCE & BANQUETING

The Royal Lancaster Hotel has two award-winning conference and banqueting suites totalling over 2252 sq m (24,242 sq ft), making it one of the largest and most sophisticated venues in London. In each of the two main suites, over 1000 guests can be accommodated.

The Nine Kings Suite, 1245 sq m (13,396 sq ft), is located on the ground floor of the Hotel with the Westbourne Suite, 1008 sq m (10,846 sq ft), directly below. The suites are connected via two main stairways, allowing them to be used separately or together. State of the art technology is a feature of both suites and is operated from concealed control rooms by an experienced in-house production team.

Alongside both the Nine Kings and Westbourne Suites are spacious banqueting kitchens designed for producing cuisine of the highest standard.

The Park Room, 149 sq m (1604 sq ft), is a new banqueting room with 15-metre-high windows overlooking Hyde Park, and is set to become one of the most sought-after event spaces in London.

Nine Kings Suite:

An elegant entrance from the street leads directly into a reception foyer which can comfortably accommodate up to 700 guests. This area can also be partitioned into five sections for seminars and syndicates.

Leading off the foyer is the Nine Kings Suite itself, a classically designed column-free room of grand proportions, having the capacity to seat up to 1400 delegates. This in turn can be divided into four separate areas using acoustically dampened partitioning.
The set-up in the Nine Kings Suite can be changed from conference centre to banqueting suite in a short space of time. Stunning Italian chandeliers descend or retract at the touch of a button, and the mood can be altered from quiet sophistication to one of vibrant excitement by means of ingenious lighting and sound systems.

Westbourne Suite

The Westbourne Suite has a separate guest entrance and a large off-street access for easy delivery of equipment directly into the Suite, interconnecting with the Nine Kings Suite and with equally impressive sound and audio-visual facilities. The room accommodates up to 1200 guests and is divisible into four areas, with a corridor allowing separate access to each section.

Park Room

The Park Room is a contemporary venue suitable for cocktail parties for up to 200 people, a buffet or banquet for up to 120 people and, with its integral dance floor, dinner dances for up to 90 people. The Park Room features two walls of huge windows giving leafy views across to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, and the ceiling skylights allow light to flood into the room. The black American walnut panelling, white walls, and dark brown and cream striped carpet create an ultra-modern look, and the adjacent dedicated kitchen ensures that all private dining is to the highest standard.
