The Estonian Investment Agency (EIA) is a governemental body established in 1994 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs to develop the Estonian Economy by promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country. Together with the Estonian Export Agency, the EIA forms part of the Estonian Investment & Trade Promotion Foundation.

The EIA maintains one regional office in Tartu and two foreign offices (UK, Germany) in order to offer a better service to investors. Our team of 10 highly motivated and efficient professional is dedicated to provide all the information needed to evaluate opportunities in Estonia and help from the beggining of a project through to the finish.

A major part of the EIA's work is constantly to improve the investment climate, and the Estonian Government has accepted a number of proposals put forward by the EIA on behalf of foreign businesses. The Agency also runs an " aftercare " programme of regular contact with existing investors to advise them on plans on further expansion and help solve any problems they face.
A range of publications is available free on request. These include brochures and leaflets in various languages, sector studies and the Estonian Trade and Investment Review. News and information is also available on the internet at www.eia.ee.

For general information about Estonia and the Baltic Sea Region, or if you have a specific investment enquiry, the EIA is here to help you.

To assist foreign companies to locate or expand in Estonia, the EIA offers a range of services free of charge including:

- General and specific information, legal acts
- Visit management
- Partner search
- Industrial property search
- Practical assistance (include visas, bureaucracy...)
