There is a small Mediterranean country which lies opposite to Italy on the Adriatic coast.

The name of this country is Montenegro. "Using the language of its inhabitants it is called CRNA GORA, while its people CRNOGORCI (Montenegrins), or better "the sons of black hills." This country is among the smallest in Europe and still very interesting.

In the last century Montenegro has been the object of a particular interest of many passengers and explorers throughout Europe. As the time passed, there were more and more visitors. We were of the opinion that air transport would bring to Montenegro and its visitors lots of benefits. The final outcome of the above mentioned assumptions was the establishment of "Montenegro Airlines" on 24th Oct 1994.
At the end of 1996, we purchased the first aircraft - Fokker F28 Mk 4000 aircraft type. Its commercial operation began in the first months of 1997. Since then the operations of our national air carrier has been continuing with a great success among both foreign and domestic passengers.
In July 1998, the second Fokker 28 was purchased. By doubling the passanger capacity, there were prerequisites for obtaining further gain on the market, and thus the airline proved to be a reliable carrier.

The renewal of the fleet

The activities regarding Montenegro Airlines fleet renewal have begun at the end of 1998. The first Fokker F100 was acquired in June 2000.

Montenegro Airlines fleet was expanded by another Fokker F100 which landed at Podgorica airport in May 2001.
Though being a young company, we are very proud of the results we have managed to obtain so far.

Come and fly with us, visit our country!!!

Montenegro airlines offers the following destinations from Podgorica and Tivat airports:
Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Vienna, Zurich, Budapest, Ljubljana, Rome, Belgrade
