Nestlé Quality: Our lifetime commitment

Nestlé is a renowned company around the world, whose name has always been associated to top quality food products, regardless of which continent we talk about. Because behind every Nestlé seal, there is a commitment with the consumers’ well-being in every stage of their lives.

Nestlé, the leading brand of food goods, came to Mexico in the year 1930 as an importer. Five years later, it built its first factory in Ocotlán, Jalisco, and from then on the company has gone through a continuos growth process that allowed it to currently rely on 17 factory facilities located in 12 different States in the country. Since its beginnings, Grupo Nestlé México has kept as a mission to provide top quality and added value food products at competitive prices.

Today, with almost 70 years of uninterrupted activity in the country, Grupo Nestlé México has more than 7,200 direct employees, and offers indirect employment to another 200,000 people. It is an important consumer of farming products, such as fresh milk, coffee, cacao beans and sugar, obtained from over 45,000 local suppliers. In addition to the nearly 1,300 SKU’s that Nestlé commercializes within the country, its foreign trade activity is increasing. An important amount of its products are sold mainly to the rest of the continent and several countries in Europe, Africa and Asia.

Nestlé keeps itself on the forefront of the food industry through a range of prestigious brands, such as Nescafé, Nestea, Nido, Nesquik, Maggi, Carnation, La Lechera, Buitoni, Libby’s, Kern’s, Cerelac, Nestum, Svelty, Milo, Crunch, Carlos V, Sta. María, San Pellegrino, Perrier, Friskies and many others.

Its responsibility before the consumers goes beyond the products sale, but also keeping permanent communication with the market through its Nestlé Consumer Service Center, in which a team of professionals assists the consumers, either personally or by phone, on their questions and doubts regarding the products’ nutrimental values or home economics advisory.

Nestlé has always acknowledged its human team as its most valuable asset, a reason why it emphasizes their integral development. A proof of this is the fact that in 1965 it became the first private company to establish a Training Center in the country.

Because quality at all levels is the fundamental value featuring Nestle’s culture, such can be seen not only in the products, but also in the honesty and importance given to the interaction with its suppliers, customers and consumers.

There is no doubt about how the activity performed by Grupo Nestlé México has significantly contributed to the economic, agricultural, industrial and commercial growth of the country, and with this the Group has ratified its commitment with the food industry and putting it in the right pace towards the new millenium.
