Traditionally known as a place for the international set, how do you perceive the future of Los Cabos as it expands into a commercial market?

Cabo's expansion into the commercial realm is a natural outgrowth of the tourism boom, and a very positive development. The local economy has improved as the tourist industry has boomed, bringing many positive changes along with it. These include the airport expansion, better roads, and a labor pool that continues to grow in number and skill. All of these improvements encourage commerce, as well. Cabo's expansion into diverse commerce will not affect its appeal to the international tourist community; if anything, the destination's attractiveness will grow as even more visitors become better acquainted with it through business, as well as pleasure.
Who are your promoting and targeting Las Ventanas to internationally?

Las Ventanas appeals to a wide range of international clientele, from many diverse nations and cultures. We promote the resort to discriminating and sophisticated travelers who seek and expect the very best in hotel/resort experiences, worldwide.

We are personally very critical of the service that we receive when we enter a hotel. What is your training strategy and how has the client responded to the service the hotel offers?

Las Ventanas has engaged from the beginning into a culture base, principle based philosophy in its employee training, where values are emphasized, thus promoting the best on its employees, encouraging individuality of characters and fostering an environment where people are empowered to take action. Our guests comments clearly reflect the success of this story.

What is the image of Las Ventanas and how does it fit into the image of Los Cabos?

Las Ventanas has the honor of occupying the top rung of the image ladder in Los Cabos. When the resort was built, there was no other five-star hotel in the area. So we were able to set the pace for others to follow, and "raise the bar," so to speak, on hospitality standards for the region. Our arrival in Los Cabos has been quite good for the area, helping to expand its appeal to the upscale travel market and encouraging greater awareness of the destination in more international markets, as well.
What has been the underlining success of Las Ventanas and what is the essence and philosophy of the management to continue its success?

The underlying success of Las Ventanas is based on a simple precept: enhance the appeal of an already remarkable destination by creating a resort like none other, then consistently deliver a superior resort experience to a carefully defined market. Continued success will come through constant refinements and improvements, as we seek to constantly meet and exceed the expectations of a highly experienced clientele with an increasing number of luxury options.

What are the expansion plans for Las Ventanas and what are your future expectations for your destination?

Las Ventanas as a resort has no plans to expand. We feel we have achieved a perfect balance between size and excellence in service. This is a fine line that we will not cross, even when being in a constant sold out status would lead many into that direction.

There is every reason to believe that Los Cabos will continue to grow in popularity. We base this belief in part on the frequency with which our guests return to Las Ventanas, and on the number of guests who visit at the recommendation of friends. In addition, the tourism infrastructure continues to grow in sophistication, giving us greater marketing reach than ever before.
