The five-star Renaissance
Moscow Hotel was the first international hotel in
Moscow. The hotel is a part of the Renaissance Hotels,
Resorts and Suites chain. It has been operated by
Marriott International since 1997.
The hotel is conveniently situated next to the
impressive Olympijskij Sports and Exhibition Complex,
is a five-minute drive from the Kremlin and Red
Square and is 30km from Sheremetyevo-2 international
airport.
HISTORY
OF THE HOTEL
Opened in 1991 as the Olympic Penta, in cooperation
with Lufthansa, the hotel was taken over by the
Renaissance group in 1993 and rebranded the Moscow
Olympic Penta Renaissance Hotel.
Following the acquisition of the Renaissance
group by Marriott International in 1997 the hotel
was again rebranded and became the Renaissance
Moscow Hotel. It is today a joint venture between
Marriott International and the Moscow City Government.
