 MISSION
|
The global objective of the Rwandan government
is to reduce poverty and improve the population's
well-being. Within this context, the mission of
the Ministry of Public Works, Transports and Communications
(MINITRACO) is to contribute to the creation of
a rational management of the development of socio-economic
exchanges between populations.
The Minitraco is based on lasting development
values, on equity, on the respect of admitted
rules and on the population's involvement.
| OBJECTIVE |
· Develop communication infrastructure
and increase universal access to communication
services
· Increase access to efficient transport
services and improve road safety
· Provide a rational management of urban
areas and provide public services with suitable
work places.
· Develop an efficient transport infrastructure
network that will that will increase connections
within and outside the country.

| STRUCTURE |
The Ministraco is organized in 4 operational
departments (Road, Communications, Urbanism and
public infrastructure) and 2 departments for coordination
and support (planning, Human Resources & Support
services).
Also, the following companies are under the umbrella
of the Minitraco:
-The Airports Authority
-The National public transports company (ONATRACOM)
-The National Post Office (ONP)
-The Rwanda Information Technology Authority
(RITA)
