"Plant "Lastochka" meaning "Swallow"
is a well-known mineral water producer in the
Russian Far East. The water has been popular among
people of Eastern Russia since the end of the
19th century.
The 'Lastochka' mineral water source is located
in Pozharsky district of Primorye. The sanitarily
protected source covers an area of 480 hectare,
which guarantees the water's clearness and environmental
safety. The natural protection measures taken
in the region maintain the natural cleanliness
of the national park where the water source is
located untouched.
For production the plant uses a special water
pipe that is 2,600 meter long to deliver the water
form the source to the bottling plant so all measures
are taken to avoid the tiniest possibility of
ecological pollution connected with the production.
According to the archives, the water was delivered
both to the domestic market and Japan and China
until 1917. At the moment the distribution area
includes the whole RFE including Khabarovsk, Magadan,
Sakhalin, Kamchatka & Yakutia The company's
turnover increased 5 times in 1999-2002.
'Lastochka' mineral water is recommended for
regular drinking as it contains the optimal set
of minerals necessary for everyday life.
