PROFILE

Message from the Managing Director

At the time when the shareholders of the multinational Company Air Afrique have entrusted me with the destiny of the company, my first thoughts go to our customers whose faithful support keeps the company running day after day.

I am fully aware of the magnitude of the task ahead of the new managing direction, considering the fleet and the fact we have quality of service.

I promise to create the structures and choose the men who will be able to take your wishes into account. Thus, the company will take quick initiatives that should meet your expectations.

The operating program will be rapidly revised and the interior of the airplanes redesigned for more comfort. Beginning with the end of May 1999, the company undergoes some changes in Paris: we shall land at Roissy 2 instead of Roissy 1, in order to give our passengers a wider choice of connections with the rest of the world.

Africa must meet the appointments of the third millenium, equipped with modern means of transportation, capable of assuring the free flow of people and goods, in the context of the globalization which is synonymous with widespread competition. To regain lost ground, I rely on your never failing loyalty, which has already allowed the company to overcome numerous difficulties.

We want you to be more than our customers. We want you to take part as partners in our development. Any suggestion or criticism your may have will help us to improve our service.

PAPE SOW THIAM
