mons Massini, Yami, DJ Ricardo Alves and Banda

This year, the Festival included a cultural journalism
course and a photography exhibition, respectively in
Cefojor and Instituto Camões from the 27th to the
31st of July.
Ritek Events and Productions launched the first Lu-
anda International Jazz Festival in 2009.
As Angola has been at the centre of the slave trade,
Ritek Events and Productions is conscious of how
people from this part of the world took their music all
over the world. The Luanda International Jazz Festi-
val provides a homecoming to all rhythms that were
exported from its roots. The intention was to make
the event a platform where musicians from all over
the world can meet and share their music.
