The main attraction of Moxico is the large range of
natural reserves and parks and its untouched scen-
ery. The area is good for camping.
The
Parque Nacional da Cameia

1957. There you can find very specific varieties of
fishes such as caqueia and mussata along with
many other wild animals (leopards, antelopes and so
on). The northern part of the park is bordered by the
Benguela Railways, Luena river at south, Lumege
river at west, Luangunge, Chifumagi, Zambeze and
Lulua rivers at east.
With 1,800 km2 superficie,
Reserva Florestal do
Luena
is delimited by the Luena and Canage rivers.
Both reserves of
Macondo
and
Luisavo
amount re-
spectively 750 km2 and 400 km2.
With only 150 km2,
Reserva Florestal do Katupe
is
the smallest smallest reserves of the province. Bor-
dering rivers are Lue, Luce, Condoge and Londoge.
Lungue-Bungo, Cuele, Mundoia and Luchibe rivers
surround the
Reserva Florestal do Lucusse
that
extends on 2,450 km2.
If you prefer navigation and fishing activities, go to
the
basins of Lunega Pinto, Luena and Sacas-
sanga.
The
lagoons of Didolo, Lalundo, Calundo
and Chivumangue
are other options.
Alternatively, you can also visit the ruins of

The Port of Namibe is also the starting point of the
Moçâmedes railway that links the coast to the iron
mines of Jamba.
The region is also characterised by an impressive
desert with a specific fauna and flora, the most fa-
mous symbol being the ‘Welwitchia Mirabilis’ also
called Tômbwa by the local people.
The estuary of the Cunene river offers fabulous

and water sports.
