IBENDOA LAGOON
is famous for the celebrations
of Kianda held on 26-27th of July. Cabiri and Ulua
lagoons are also appreciated.
RESERVES OF KIBINDAAND KIBAXI-PIRI:
Go for
a walk in those two vast forest reserves with respec-
tively 100 and 200 km2. You will admire a dense veg-
etation composed of celtis, Albiza, Morus and Ficus.
CULTURE
MUXIMA
is an important village located on
the banks of Kwanza river at 130 km from
Luanda, famous for the pilgrimage to Nossa
Senhora da Muxima 16th century church.
In Kimbundo, muxima means “heart”.
