According to statistics, manufacturing of plastic prod-
ucts represents around 80% of the gross production
of the sector. In 2008, $47 million USD’s worth of
these products were exported. The main buyers of
Ecuadorian plastic products are countries of the An-
dean Region and Mercosur (Colombia, Venezuela,
Brazil and Peru).
