Location
El Salvador is a republic located on the northwest
side of Central America. It shares a border with
Honduras in its north and east. With the Gulf of
Fonseca extreme to the south east, with the Pacific
Ocean to the south and with Guatemala to the
west and northeast. It is the smallest and the most
densely populated country of Central America. It is
also the only country in Central America without a
coast on the Caribbean Sea.
The country is formed by a central plain, cut by river
valleys. It sits between two volcanic mountain ranges
