HISTORY
Founded as an American company in 1998, Vested
Development Inc. actually had been developing
software in the Russian market since 1993. In
1996 when this business received their first American
customers, founder Anatoly Gaverdovsky sought
to procure American venture capital and incorporate
the company as an American entity in order to
better serve North American customers. Thus, VDI
set out to penetrate the software development
outsourcing market with a local presence at company
headquarters in greater Boston, MA and an offshore
development center with over 200 highly trained
and experienced Russian software engineers.
Having obtained ISO 9001 certification and set
up its own training center, VDI continues to grow
its business in terms of quality, customers, and
staff.

As President of Vested Development, Inc. (VDI),
Peter Ickes is responsible for leading the firm's
strategy, business development and client management
activities, business operations and financial operations.
Ickes envisions VDI evolving to become the pace
setting, next generation of professional services
firm providing advantaged software engineering services.
VDI is a leading provider of technology based innovation
services because of its unique value proposition.
"We enable our customers to hit their key
time-to-market objectives by demolishing capacity
constraints of time, quality and cost to significantly
mitigate the risk of technology innovation,"
Ickes says.
Peter Ickes joined VDI from The Telic Group, a Boston
based strategy and business development consulting
practice. Earlier Ickes was Chief Client Strategist
at eRunway, Inc., a Westborough, Massachusetts based
Indian offshore development company providing software
development services. He came to eRunway from Gen3
Partners, Inc., where he served as a founding Vice
President and Chief Client Officer. Prior to Gen
3, Ickes was an equity partner at Treacy & Company,
developing New Economy strategies and new business
opportunities in the global electronics, financial
services, media and communications, and manufacturing
industries. Before Treacy & Company, Ickes served
as Senior Manager for Braxton Associates/ Deloitte
Consulting Group, where he was the senior competitive
and growth strategist responsible for the sale,
direction and delivery of multiple engagements to
large international and domestic clients. He is
the former Director of Technology at Cowles Media
Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was an early
member of Integrated Systems Services Company, the
IT services and outsourcing organization that became
IBM's Global Services.
Ickes also has extensive experience in the computer
industry where he had concurrent responsibilities
for the development of new hardware and software
technologies as well as their go-to-market strategies.
Ickes has an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts,
strategic planning emphasis, an M.F.A. from Temple
University and an A.B. from Dartmouth College.
