 INTRODUCTION |
Created in 1968 in view to realize road works and seminaries, SONATRO has remarkably developed in the 70's, and in 1983, it has given birth to five companies: four (04) road works and one (01) building companies.
From this date, SONATRO has specialized in the building of roads, highways and airdromes. Many large projects have been realized such as the airdromes of Illizi and Djanet, the East Highway, the IV diverting road and so on…
Endowed with management autonomy since 1991 and in spite of unfavourable conjuncture and environment, SONATRO has proceeded it's way, realizing quality great projects that makes it a leading public partner in the Public Works field.
| MAINTENANCE |
The maintenance substructures at the disposal of SONATRO are very efficient; the core of which is the maintenance unit of Reghaia. With it's various workshops, like tooling shop, milling shop… it is detaining a major part in the range of works execution. Its satellite workshops near the project building sites ensure a rapid upkeep and restoration on the spot.
Intervention teams move also to the building sites for materials and production, reparation, carrying-up and off inspection.
| THE LABORATORY |
For technical assistance, SONATRO disposes of a Central Laboratory and a Research Office.
The Central Laboratory located at Reghaia ensures, with other mini laboratories on the building sites, a quality control.
The Research Office with a staff of engineers and skilled technicians is in charge of a complementary technical surveys and proposes alternatives for an optimal and efficient execution of the projects.

SONATRO is present everywhere over the national territory. Its main construction sites are:

| EXPORT ACTIVITY |
SONATRO has realized, in association with a local firm, the tarmac works of the Koffra airdrome in Libya.
Other contracts are being made for eventual deals in the neighbour countries.
