Please tell us about the history of the National Bank of Romania. What are the links the central bank has with the main financial institutions in and outside the country?

The National Bank of Romania was established in 1880, the 16th central bank in the world. Inspired by the models of similar institutions in France and Belgium, our bank is celebrating the 130th anniversary this year.
