ABOUT US

The Limited Partnership "Plastics Production Plant" (former Shevchenco Plant of Plastics and then Stock Company "AkPo") is a largest multi-unit enterprise, on the UIS and Europe territory, producing polystyrene.
The plant is located 12 km to East of Aktau city on the Caspian Sea shore of the Kazakhstan Republic. The Aktau city (before 1992 Shevchenco) is a large industry center of Western Kazakhstan. It is connected by rail-road, air, automobile and water transport with other regions of Kazakhstan and former USSR.

The plant was built in 1976-1980 on a base of complete import equipment. 2001 is the year of the second birth of the plant, when the Trade House "Extraplast" bought it by an auction and resumed the polystyrene production.

Manufacturing capacities of the plant make it able to produce:

Polystyrenes of different purposes more than 30 grades: of general purpose, EPS, HIPS
Polysulfones,
ABS-plastics,
Consumer goods.

High production quality is based on the use of modern processes from world famous firms - Emejota (USA), Rhone Phojil (France) and the latest scientific results of leading Russian research institutes.

Our production quality has been marked with many medals and diplomas of international exhibitions, fairs and competitions.

The last rewards are - Silver Medal and Diploma of II degree for the General Purpose Polystyrene PSM 115 - have been obtained on the 3 International Exhibition "Industry of Plastics" that took place in Moscow on February 25-28. The rewards have been conquered in the competition "The best polymeric materials and articles made of them 2002".

The Limited Company "TH Extraplast" effects production sale, marketing, advertising. Our production may be dispatched from the warehouse of the Aktau city and also from a wide dealer network whose warehouses are located in many Russian cities : Nizhniy Novgorod, Zlatoust, Moscow region, Novosibrsk, Tomsk.

We attentively follow the market of plastics doing all our best to improve our production quality according to modern requirements. We are open to a mutual benefit collaboration and appreciate stable business contacts.

PRODUCTION OF PLASTYROL

The general purpose polystyrene is produced by continuous bulk polymerization under technology of the firm "Emejota" (USA). The product appearance - stable granules colored or non-colored with residual monomer content in accordance with European standards.

GPPS of continuous bulk polymerization has a number of properties ( transparency, heat-resistance, dielectric properties, etc) that surpass similar characteristics of suspension polystyrene.

The bulk polymerization GPPS manufacture does not produce waste waters that are inherent to suspension process and therefore the production is of high ecological safety.

The GPPS is allowed to be used for items being in contact to food products (tare, package) and toys by the RF Healthcare Ministry.

Depending on properties and specific purpose the following types of GPPS are produced:
PSM-111 - polystyrene of enhanced light-resistance. May be used for injection molded illumination appliances, consumer goods.
PSM-115 - polystyrene of middle viscosity. May be used for injection molded items - household goods, package, containers, reservoir, transparent and non-transparent casings, audio-video casettes, disposable dishware, medical items (Petri dish, test tubes, bulbs), toys etc.
PSM-118 - polystyrene of low viscosity. May be used for complex configuration injection molded parts and consumer goods.
PSM-151 - polystyrene of high heat resistance and high viscosity. May be used for sheets, profiles, films, threads, and other items being extruded and injection molded - interior vitrification, decorative partitions, protecting picture covers, interior advertisement, trade and exhibition equipment, dielectric films, polymer light guides, package, containers, reservoirs, transparent and non-transparent casings, audio-video casettes, disposable dishware, medical items, toys etc.
PSM-158 - polystyrene of high heat resistance and mechanical strength. May be used for plates, sheets and films production by XPS extrusion

PRODUCTION OF PLASTYREN

The impact resistant polystyrene produced by continuous bulk polymerization under technology of the firm "Emejota" (USA). The product is produced as stable granules colored or non-colored that are copolymer of styrene with polybutadiene. Our technology provides high uniformity of the material without any gel formations and with low content of residual monomer in accordance with European standards requirements.

Being produced without waist waters formation the impact resistant polystyrene production is of high ecological safety.

The GPPS is allowed to be used for items being in contact to food products (tare, package) and toys by the RF Healthcare Ministry.

The HIPS is allowed to be used for items being in contact to food products (tare, package) by the RF Healthcare Ministry. The product meets high sanitary requirements and is widely used in sanitary engineeriong.

Depending on properties and specific purpose the following types of impact resistant polystyrene are produced:
Plastyren 435 - is usually used for thermoformed food packagings, eg.dairy - and vending cups, ice cream-containers, food service disposables.
Plastyren 525 - is usually used for Vacuum cleaner housings; toilet flush; telephones; air conditioner housings; toys; Coextruded gloss layer.
Plastyren 630 F - is usually used for TV-cabinets and back covers. Housings and internal parts (f.e. chassis) for consumer electronics (VCR, radio, CD-player a.s.o.)
Plastyren 1040 - 1040 is usually used for consumer electronics: TV-front and back; chassis fur VCR and CD player. Household: internal parts of vacuum cleaners; refrigerator parts; drawers Audio- and video cassettes; printer housings, keyboards, computers, copier parts.
Plastyren 1430 EF - is intended primarily for mouldings used in the manufacture of electrical appliances, such as cases and their components. Housings of small distribution boards are made of this grade.
Plastyren 1535 - is usually used for Thinwall injection molding; ice cream container, household and office articles.
Plastyren 1540 - is usually used for TV-front panels and back covers, VCR fronts, internal parts for refrigerators, office and household articles.
Plastyren 2630 - can be used for office, kitchen and bathroom articles.

PRODUCTION OF PLASTYPOR

The expandable polystyrene with treatment of particles surface is produced by a suspension polymerization method in the presence of a blowing agent under technology of the firm "Phojil" (France).

The product has appearance of spherical particles (beads), with surface of the beads being treated by various substances that enhances process properties of the material under treatment and gives to the material new features. The technology used provides the beads to be of stable size, strict granulometric composition and does not require an additional operation - screening the product by fractions.

The EPS is allowed to be used for items being in contact to food, cosmetic and medical products (disposal dishware, tare, package) by the RF Healthcare Ministry
The EPS is used:
? In production of cellular polystyrene blocks and plates of various configuration for heat and noise insulation of buildings and compartments of any destination (walls, roofs, floor, warehouses, pavilions, dwellings, garages, basements etc.)
In producing complex package for various appliances, that need to be protected at transportation.
In producing automobile parts, floating means, decorative parts of interior.
To produce polystyrene-concrete - light concrete with binding cement and expanded polystyrene filler. It may be used for heat insulating blocks and plates, monolithic heat-insulation of attics, roofs, floors, outer walls etc.
To produce cellular polystyrene gasified models for metal casting. There is a set of special additives that enhance melting gasification speeds of the models. Uniform granulometric composition of the polymer provides equidensity of the polystyrene models and its smooth surface. The surface of the model being treated provides high surface quality of the metal castings.
