Universal Motors was created in 1999. It has already
been recognized twice as "the Best Company
of the Year 2000 and 2001". It provides a very
wide range of services, which have been expanded
since it's started.
Universal Motors works with all types of cars and
they support activities such as construction and
publishing. Among their clients there are Embassies,
Representatives and big foreign companies. Universal
Motors also work on social programs and they closely
collaborate with the Government.
The profit for this year is expected to be around
250000 Dollars. Last year Universal Motors sold
80-100 "VAZ" cars every month
Fifty-six employees works for Universal Motors.
All of them are highly qualified professional. Among
them there are 30 specialists in cars and 26 employees
are in the management team.
Universal Motors have representative offices in
Astana, Pavlodar, and Kostanai, Cars are sold in
every representative office. All specialists working
for the representative offices have received special
training on marketing. The representative offices
work independly, as they were a franchising.
SERVICES |
The core activity of Universal Motors is the automobile
market but it also deals in the construction, publishing
and trade business sectors. It also sells elite
automotives through a Canadian company as an especial
service.
PARTERNS |
Universal Motors had the opportunity to expand its
business thanks to the assistance and support of
Lukoil. Lukoil was shareholder of the Bank Caspiyskiy,
which is Universal Motors partner.
Universal Motors future strategy would be to reach
an agreement for the distribution of Suzuki cars.
In the past they have positively worked with Taliatti
Company "VAZ".
Uniserval Motors is working with Russian companies
in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Omsk.
It also have a partnership with a German company
called "Gutta".
NEW
AUTO COMPLEX |
Next spring Universal Motor would start the construction
of a new Auto Complex, which targets the sale of
the most popular cars. The new complex will be very
large and it will provide to its clients with wide
range of services.
The goal is the creation of a new trade house where
customers will receive a high quality service and
they will supply with all the needed spare parts.
Thanks to the cargo automation system first class
communication is provided for yourself, your consignee,
the agencies and the airline companies which means
that correct data is transferred instantly to the
correct address.
TK Cargo offers you a variety of services designed
to meet your shipping needs and to fulfill your
individual transport requirements. Experience, care
and know-how enable TK Cargo to correctly transport
every type of cargo ranging from small packages
to livestock, perishable foods, textile products,
flowers, leather, spare parts, equipment and precious
metals. Whatever you import or export, you may simply
deliver and collect your shipment within the scheduled
time frames and leave the rest to TK. You do not
have to deal with anything else for TK guarantees
that all types and sizes of shipments are delivered
to the destined point on time; thus ensuring that
people worldwide obtain the goods they need at the
right place, at the right time.
Currently on domestic flights TK Cargo service is
provided with passenger planes to 26 destinations,
5 of which have TK Cargo organizations locally.
On international flights, there are 45 destination
points in Europe, 2in the USA, 6 in Africa, 10 in
the Middle East, 13 in Middle Asia and the Far East.
All connections between the departure and arrival
points are carried out either by air or by land
transport.
A300 TK Cargo aircraft each with a capacity of 40
tons are scheduled to fly from Istanbul to Maastricht
three days a week, and from Istanbul to Nurnberg
one day a week. TK Cargo also offers you alternative
options like renting additional cargo space. In
addition special charter flights can be arranged
in line with your demand.

TRAINING |
"The Department of Flight Training and Standards"
and "The Department of Training" are the
two basic units responsible for training in Turkish
Airlines. You may obtain detailed information about
these units under the headings "Flight Training"
and "Ground Training" in the "Training"
section.
Turkish Airlines Flight Training Center consists
of three buildings with an area of approximately
15,600 m2 located within the complex of Ataturk
Airport. At the center cockpit and cabin personnel
are provided with the required training by expert
trainers in line with the standards of International
Civil Aviation. Training can basically be grouped
as Initial, Conversion, Difference, Upgrade, Advanced
and Recurrent Training.
Simulator and Computer Based Training together with
Cabin Service Trainer and Emergency Evacuation Trainer
programs provided by THY not only address airlines
within co-partnerships, but also other airlines
which can be categorized into two groups: National
airlines such as Pegasus, Air Anatolia, KTHY, Bilgin
Airlines, Air Rose, Air Alfa, Euro Sun, Sun Express,
Onur Air and international airlines such as Cross
Air (Swiss), Air Zena, Uzbekistan Airlines, Aegean
Airlines, Air Kazakhstan and Braathens. Turkey's
sole flight training center, that of TK, certified
by Type Rating Training Organization (TRTO) offers
training in line with the standards of JAR-FCL.
The Ground Training Center at Turkish Airlines provides
training for its staff involved in commercial, cargo
and handling activities as well as the technical
team in the hangar. It also conducts special courses
for managers, quality-control teams and the staff
at the front desk. The training is extended not
only to Turkish Airlines staff, but also to travel
agents, staff from other airlines and universities
offering courses related to aviation. The importance
given to quality is certified by the ISO 9001 Quality
Assurance Certificate awarded by RWTUV to the Ground
Training Center in June 98. The Ground Training
Center has been applying ISO 9001 procedures ever
since. The Ground Training Center can accommodate
up to 800 people with 40 classrooms and a 120 seat
conference room. Training is provided by a total
of 62 instructors, managers and auxiliary staff
for 9000 participants.

History
Our department was founded in 1974 as Flight Safety
Directorate with direct access to the General Manager.
In November 1999 the Directorate of Quality Assurance
was established in compliance with JAA regulations
and JAR-OPS. Finally in the last quarter of 2000
the name of the department was changed to the Directorate
of Flight Safety and Quality Assurance.

Flight Safety is the first consideration of Turkish
Airlines. Flight Safety within our scope of responsibility
covers Flight Operations , Flight Training and Standards
,Cabin, Maintenance Department, Ground Operations,
Technical Training, Emergency Response Group and
Flight/Maintenance/Ground Safety Managements.
The four main objectives of the Directorate of Flight
Safety and Quality Assurance are :
. Improving Safety in Flight and Ground Operations
. Achieving and maintaining Risk Awareness by all
persons involved in Flight and Ground operations
. Taking corrective action for deficiencies and
irregularities,
. Sharing experience acquired from safety events
by evaluation and promulgation of information related
to accidents and incidents.
Most importantly, we are fully aware of our responsibility
regarding the safety of the travelling public. Their
interest in air safety and confidence in commercial
air transportation are best served when the safety
standards of Turkish Airlines meet international
