Turkish Airlines Flight Training Center consists of three buildings with an area of approximately 15,600 m2 located within the complex of Ataturk Airport. At the center cockpit and cabin personnel are provided with the required training by expert trainers in line with the standards of International Civil Aviation. Training can basically be grouped as Initial, Conversion, Difference, Upgrade, Advanced and Recurrent Training.

Simulator and Computer Based Training together with Cabin Service Trainer and Emergency Evacuation Trainer programs provided by THY not only address airlines within co-partnerships, but also other airlines which can be categorized into two groups: National airlines such as Pegasus, Air Anatolia, KTHY, Bilgin Airlines, Air Rose, Air Alfa, Euro Sun, Sun Express, Onur Air and international airlines such as Cross Air (Swiss), Air Zena, Uzbekistan Airlines, Aegean Airlines, Air Kazakhstan and Braathens. Turkey's sole flight training center, that of TK, certified by Type Rating Training Organization (TRTO) offers training in line with the standards of JAR-FCL.

The Ground Training Center at Turkish Airlines provides training for its staff involved in commercial, cargo and handling activities as well as the technical team in the hangar. It also conducts special courses for managers, quality-control teams and the staff at the front desk. The training is extended not only to Turkish Airlines staff, but also to travel agents, staff from other airlines and universities offering courses related to aviation. The importance given to quality is certified by the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Certificate awarded by RWTUV to the Ground Training Center in June 98.
