Company BITEL, the biggest operator of mobile communication in Kyrgyzstan, is a service provider of wireless communications and integrated telecommunication solutions.

Bitel was registered in the Kyrgyz Ministry of Justice in 1997 and started its commercial activities on 1st of August 1998.

The primary goal of company was to go intervene to the market making emphasis on the supremacy of used standard GSM 900.

History of BITEL

The beginnings of Bitel company go back to when several years ago a number of individuals made decision to introduce improved telecommunication technologies in Kyrgyzstan.

Such a decision would allow to the cellular industry which is burdened by monopolist presence of the only operator which could set up high prices for its products and services and to become more flexible and customer needs oriented. This means that prospective consumer would receive services for quite lower cost and for more higher quality due to the competency and new improved technologies of mobile communications.

After long discussions during several weeks, the decision was made to introduce the mobile communications standard of the second generation - GSM 900. This standard is a European one and growth with rapid pace. The number of subscribers using this standard worldwide makes up more than 680 millions for today or 62% of all subscribers of mobile services of digital standard.

BITEL company was created in 1998. The time had passed on. The market had changed, company had changed and the perception of world had changed as well. And those changes are taking place constantly. The new logo of company is a reflection of its real internal world, new philosophy and vision of perspectives. By change of logo, creation of new image of company we show to our clients and society that we are changing, improving.

BITEL Company is a member of GSM operators Association and strictly follows all existing norms, rules of the world standard and regularly pays membership fees.
Every half a year, the Association conducts seminars for the members of Association where all problems arising during their work are solved, changes and amendments to the existing rules are introduced. All members of the Association are informed on the introduced changes and are obliged to implement all the requirements of the world standard.

BITEL supports close partner ties with all member of theñOperators' Association and participates in above named seminars which are conducted in different countries.

BITEL has received a permission from GSM Association for using coding algorithms for ciphering SIM-cards and also for using Association's symbolic in the logo of company.

BITEL offers the wide range of additional services for your convenience and freedom of communication.
With the help of service named "auto informer of balance" you could always find out your balance.
Using service "waiting and holding on the call", you could respond the call of other subscriber during your current telephone talk and then return to interrupted conversation. Or combine both call by using service "conference communication".


To ban some category of calls under necessity is possible with the service "calls banning". Set up readdressing of call will switch incoming calls to other telephone number including to voice mail.
Upon wish one can use mobile phones as pagers by changing SMS (short text messages) with other users of mobile phones of GSM standard and also with Internet users through SMSgate or ICQ.
SMS can be send to e-mail and also receive response from e-mail to mobile phone.



With the help of SMS one can receive the information on NBKR currency rates, news, to learn the weather forecast for tomorrow, to read new joke. To have these one need to use service SMS Info ChanneL.
