The history and mission of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce?

The foundations of the present SCC were laid by the Belgrade merchants in 1857, 153 years ago, when they decided to establish a Trade Board, on the model of then chambers of commerce and industry in Europe of that time. Their objective was to upgrade economically underdeveloped Serbia. They were involved in the adoption of commercial laws and establishment of civil society institutions.
