Road reconstruction - Posiet

Pay attention whilst driving in any city in Primorsky Krai. Many cars have right hand drive as they are imported from Japan and there is a general lack of respect towards western driving standards and rules. In general road conditions are quite bad and especially treacherous during winter periods when there is heavy snowfall and black ice. If travelling outside the city road conditions are often worse, pay attention particularly in the south of the region and on route to Nakhodka where stretches of the roads are being repaved. Always have you driving license on you at all times as spot police checks are a regular occurrence
