thruster configuration that increases lift capacity by
more than 50% when compared to the standard Millen-
nium ROV work system.
Magnum® Plus ROV repre-
sents the backbone of Oceaneering´s fleet of powerful
work class ROV systems with deepwater capabilities.
Reliable and easily maintained, the ROV provides a
170 hp, high-thrust, cage-deployed system that is de-
signed to accommodate underwater intervention tasks
in support of oil and gas drilling, construction, and pro-
duction activities.
SCV ROV: tophat TMS deployed, dual manipulator, 100
hp work class ROV system. The SCVs were developed
to allow the easy integration of additional sensors, actu-
ators, survey and toolingequipment. They are designed
with a large through frame lift to accommodate heavy
tooling skids and they have a high thrust capacity. This
makes them well suited to construction, intervention
and survey work scopes.
Spectrum ROV: Oceaneering´s latest generation of
light work class ROV systems with a depth capability
up to 3000 meters. The main system is entirely elec-
tric however, a small hydraulic HPU can be supplied to
support add-on tooling. The ROV can also be equipped
with a host of sensors, cameras and even manipulators
making it capable of performing light underwater inter-
vention tasks, inspection and basic drill support.
Heavy Weather Deployment: Oceaneering currently
has 20 new-generation cursor systems installed on
vessels worldwide. Some of these systems are in-
stalled on older vessels during refit, but the majority
of these systems are installed on new ultra-deep-
water drilling rigs and drill ships. These vessels are
designed to work in 10,000 fsw and stay operational
in rough weather. Our approach is to be involved
with the customer from an early stage in the design
of the vessel to facilitate and optimize the design,
installation, and operation of it´s ROV system. The
combination of the vessel´s capabilities and those of
the heavy weather launch system provides our cli-
ents with more operational time and less “waiting on
weather” down time with an ROV system that has
typically divable beyond the point where the vessel
ceases its operations due to weather.
ROV Personnel Training & Competency: ROV per-
sonnel working for Oceaneering Angola all conform
to the worldwide Oceaneering ROV Competency
Scheme which was developed in accordance with
IMCA guidelines. This competency scheme outlines
