Soyo dais is celebrated on the 5th April and M’Banza
Congo on the 25th of July.
Zaire province has a large border with the democrat-
ic Republic of Congo. The dominant ethnic group is
the Bakongo and main language is Kikongo.
The main activity of Zaire also relies mainly on oil in-
dustry based essentially in Soyo, but agriculture and
fishing employ a significant part of the population.
The province is accessible by road from Luanda and
Bengo and has 2 airports in M’Banza Congo and
Soyo.
