Numerous establishments were constructed im-

pelled by the CAN 2010. By the time we printed this

book, there were currently about 4,500 classified op-

erators including:

• 84 travel agencies

• over 3270 restaurants

• over 1100 hotels divided as follows

In 2010, almost 425,000 visitors came to Angola

which corresponds to a progression of 16% com-

paratively to 2009 that registered almost 366,000

visitors.

Main source countries are still Portugal, Brazil, Unit-

ed States, China, UK and France.

To develop consequently external and internal tour-

ism for middle class populations, Angola needs ad-

ditional hotels of 1 to 3 stars and more accessible

prices. Effectively, the offer has diversified but prices

are still inflated and remain a major restraint.

In the ”Plano Director de Turismo” established by

The accomodation offer improved continuously since

2006 and reached a capacity superior to 800,000

rooms in 2010.
