Chairman of the Governing Board (Independent Commission for Mines and Minerals)

Could you give us a background of the ICMM and a description of its main responsibilities? ICMM was founded by a UNMIK regulation in 2005 as an independent institution for mining activities. It means that ICMM is now supervised by Kosovo law and reports to the Kosovo parliament. Previously we reported to SRSG of the UN. We will remain independent and we will manage this sector without the political influence of the government, opposition or other. ICMM has a structure of management and a board of directors.
