Rice Milling Company (Pvt.) Limited (RMC) mills, processes and packs local varieties of rice both for the local Malawi market and for export within Southern Africa. RMC also trades in Basmati Rice, Thai Rice, Indian Long Grain Rice, and Vietnamese Long Grain Rice, which it imports for distribution and sale throughout Southern Africa.
RMC has its own brand called "Family Pride", which is now the market leader in Malawi. In addition to rice, RMC also packs milk powder and salt under its Family Pride brand name. Other basic foodstuffs are being added to this range of Family Pride products.
RMC packs flour, under license, in the Snowflake brand from South Africa and also the Victoria brand from Zimbabwe. Other products distributed by RMC are the world famous Veetee Basmati Rice and Bakesure Ready Mix baking products.
RMC has an extensive distribution network within Malawi, offering direct deliveries to all the major chain and privately owned retailers and wholesalers, covering the full length and breadth of Malawi, and totaling over 450 stores.
