of Actis |
Founded in 1997 by 6 people. Since its founding,
the company has completed close to 400 commercial
projects in 23 countries worldwide. Its main markets
for design and programming are Russia, the US,
Germany, and the UK. The company is managed by
an American management team. In late 2000, the
company had attracted its first round of investment
from an Austrian venture fund; management had
effected an MBO in early 2002.

Edward Grinbukh is one of the founders
of Actis Systems and its CEO since1999. He has
overseen all of the company's endeavours, both
in Russia /FSU and in various North American and
West European markets, to turn the company into
a multi-million dollar eBusiness solutions provider
with a leading market share of 25% in Russia and
a competitive position in the offshore web development
market. Mr. Grinbukh is a visionary in the Russian
IT and New Technology business, creating in 1997
Moscow's leading computer reseller and systems
integrator with an annual turnover of USD 7 million.
He has a B.A. in Business and Economics from the
University of Wisconsin.

Anya Sverdlov is a member of the Board
of Directors of Actis System, responsible for
group strategy, business development and financial
management. Ms. Sverdlov has led the company's
restructuring effort to transform it from a Greenfield
start-up into an efficient organization, fully
capable of delivering complete value-chain solutions
to a broad range of corporate clients. She also
created and developed Actis Consulting, the management
consulting division within Actis Systems, devising
the division's strategy, process and technology
consulting. Ms. Sverdlov has an M.B.A. in Finance
and Multinational Management With Distinction
from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania
and is a graduate of Yale University, obtaining
her B.A. in Economics and Political Science with
Magna Cum Laude.
