HORNEX is an independent "green field" company of architects, consultants, engineers and experienced technicians & workers, with the know-how covering a wide range of constructions and specialisations. Experience built up over ten years is based on many successful projects in Slovakia as well as in other countries covering the construction of civil buildings basically on a "turn-key" principle which is an optimal approach tailored to meet clients' requirements. With over 200 employees, HORNEX is capable of handling any project, large or small, single or multi-disciplinary. HORNEX offers its clients an international experience supported by the locally acquired know-how across the firm's engineering, production base and constructions carried out in both local and international "turn-key delivery" projects.

1988 The founders of HORNEX started their business activities

1 January 2001 HORNEX, a.s. was founded as a sole, universal and 100% successor of the wound-up company HORNEX, spol. s r.o.; HORNEX, a.s. took over all the rights, commitments, liabilities, receivables as well as all the assets of the dissolved company .

As your creative partner, HORNEX combines a solid and broad understanding of specific technologies and local circumstances with architectural, engineering and construction experience. This is a good base for a comprehensive set of consultancy, engineering and building services to be provided to you through the HORNEX office. HORNEX undertakes projects in a wide range of industrial sectors such as traffic, agriculture, retail, water and waste water, food, telecommunications, environment and refurbishment of monumental buildings, and interiors.

HORNEX firmly believes that only an integrated approach to project execution enables an effective interaction between disciplines. The combination of a monodisciplinary specialisation and a multidisciplinary functionality provides both technological and an economic added value.

Awards

  • Award of the prestigious FIRST PRIZE in the 2nd national public competition "CONSTRUCTION OF THE YEAR ´96", for the building and interior of Všeobecná úverová banka, a. s., in Pezinok, designed by Ing. arch. Peter Kucharovic, a. a.
    The award was achieved for high-quality building works, professionalism in construction details, optimised costs, a short construction period despite worsened working conditions, for the minimum public area occupied during the construction as well as for extraordinary good co-operation between the client, project designer, and the builder.

  • Award "FOR EXTRAORDINARY QUALITY ACHIEVED BY NON-TRADITIONAL TECHNOLOGY" in the 5th national public competition "CONSTRUCTION OF THE YEAR ´99", for the building of the company Autorizacné centrum Slovenska, a.s. in Bratislava.

    Complete project and realisation of a technologically and technically extraordinary complex construction meeting West European parameters. The most important parts of the project documentation were prepared both in the Slovak and English language and were reviewed and agreed by Europay International, Brussels for compliance with West European standards.

  • Award "FOR THE BEST CONSTRUCTION DETAIL" in the 6th national public competition "CONSTRUCTION OF THE YEAR 2000" for the reconstruction of the premises of the Government purpose facility Hotel Bôrik in Bratislava.

  • Nomination for the MAIN PRIZE in the 7th national public competition "CONSTRUCTION OF THE YEAR 2001" for the new administration building of the company PosAm, spol. s r.o., Bratislava and participation in the competition with the "Reconstruction of an apartment house at Heckova ul. In Bratislava - Raca".

    The Company has paid all taxes, duties, and social insurance contributions to the respective government authorities.

    Except of its own property tne Company and its shareholders have got ovnership interests in the following companies:

  • HORNEX Development, spol. s r.o. - a developer company with the dominant line of business being financing, realisation, and operation of constructions.


  • Due to the ongoing growth of the Company's economic strenght more and more investors are interested to cooperate closely in the design and realisation of demanding investment projects. One of the last is the invitation to the tender for a multinational investor B.S.R. GROUP, Ramat-Gan, Israel to supply a complex administration facility BRATISLAVA BUSINESS CENTER V with the estimated capital expenditure of SKK 1.4 billion. The outcome of the tender is not known yet.

    HORNEX Development
    On 5 September 2001, a new subsidiary - HORNEX Development, spol. s r.o. with the registered capital of SKK 5M was established to ensure continuous growth and expansion in terms of developing business opportunities on the market, offering lease-back schemes for both retail and industrial clients.
    From there, we provide our clients with:

    Project design and turn-key delivery in the city of Kazan, Russian Federation. Supply of luxury interiors in a historical building. The Tartarian president took part at the opening ceremony. In 1996, the election campaign of Boris Yeltzin culminated in this building.
