New planes, new routes and a new innovative
approach - SN Brussels Airlines has come a long
way since its launch as the new Belgian airline
of choice just a year ago.
In just 12 short months, the airline has charted
an impressive route from hopeful start-up to
taking its place as Belgium's busiest carrier
with 38 aircraft, and more than 280 flights
per day.
According to Peter Davies, CEO, there are many
reasons for this. "Our success lies in
the fact that we're different, and our customers
recognize this" he says. "As the most
punctual airline in Europe for the latter part
of 2002, we have already established a reputation
for excellence. We are constantly improving
our schedules and service on the ground and
on board, with the aim of offering the choice
and quality our customers demand.
To celebrate the first anniversary, SN Brussels
Airlines is introducing three new Airbus A319
aircraft to the fleet, as well as enhanced catering
throughout Europe.
And now, SN Brussels Airlines is looking forward
to its second year with confidence and total
commitment to putting its customers first every
time.

Press
Positive on SN Brussels Airlines' outlook
for 2003 |
As part of its recent birthday celebrations, the
SN Brussels Airlines press conference saw a substantial
press turnout, both national and international.
Among the 70-odd journalists that attended were
representatives of all the major Belgian TV stations,
all the main Belgian news and financial news titles,
as well as journalists from Austria, the Czech
Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Poland, Spain,
Switzerland, the UK and Kenya.
Subsequent press coverage was, on the whole, positive,
with the majority of articles responding well
to CEO Peter Davies' optimism with regard to the
future - "SN Brussels Airlines aims for profit"
was the headline at De Standaard, while Reuters
announced "SN Brussels Airlines expects its
first profit in 2003". De Financieel Economische
Tijd was also impressed by the profits forecast,
which it said compared favorably with other airlines.
|
A number of newspapers and television stations
also remarked on the airline's high punctuality
- 'The most punctual airline in Europe" was
the headline in La Libre Belgique, while Victoria
Knight at Dow Jones was impressed not only with
the profit forecast, but also with the airline's
agreements with partners, such as Alitalia.
Finally, the dynamic and confident spirit that
reigned on the day was clearly not lost on any
of the journalists present, as almost all of them
reported on the upbeat outlook communicated by
the team, the CEO and the President, rob Kuijpers.
