Social benefits

One of the problems which Mauritius will have to face is the ageing population
Mauritius is a country where everybody has the right to social benefits at the age of sixty but there are provision for widows, orphans, handicap people of any age. Health and education are free to all Mauritians. One of the problems which Mauritius will have to face is the ageing population. Measures must be taken by the National Pension Scheme in order to face the problem because by the year 2014, the ratio of pensioners / contributors will be in favour of the former.

In fact Mauritius has a well-advanced National Pension Scheme and social benefits. Some African countries regularly come here in order to learn from the Mauritian system.
