Education
The Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies
(ZCAS) offers long and short-term training and ca-
pacity development in the fields of business and IT
management. ZCAS also offers research and con-
sultancy services in these fields.
Established by an Act of Parliament to train accoun-
tants for various government and business roles,
ZCAS has grown in leaps and bounds to become a
premier tertiary education institution on the continent.
The center was initially set up using donor and gov-
ernment funding; however, it has been self-financing
for many years now. Through consistent new product
development, its portfolio has grown to include train-
ing in internationally recognized accountancy, com-
mercial law, economics, information and communica-
tion technology, business management, marketing,
purchasing and supply, commerce, entrepreneur-
ship, financial services, project management, and
banking programs. ZCAS is the most highly rated
institution in Zambia by ACCA, CIMA, and ZiCA.
The quality of tuition and sustained high pass rates
are evident as seen in its many accreditations and
awards. Some of these include the PMR Diamond
Arrow award, ACCA’s Platinum Learning Partner,
CIMA’s Learning Quality (now Premium) Partner, and
ZiCA’s Gold Learning Partner.
ZCAS continues to launch new programs to meet
national and regional human capital needs and will
soon be rebranding itself in recognition of the vast
amount of growth and diversification it has enjoyed.
ZCAS works with local and international partners to
develop and provide programs that are responsive to
dynamic global business practices. Its portfolio delib-
erately consists of programs developed by organiza-
tions that are leaders in their respective fields. This is
done to ensure that ZCAS graduates have the latest
knowledge and skills required by employers in their
fields both locally and globally.
